FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Practical details about packages, preparation, delivery and local service.
Yes. Digerati Media is based in Barrie, so you can arrange media for a local listing directly with Chris. Send the property address, your launch date and the services you need. If you will not attend, agree on an authorized access plan before the appointment.
Digerati Media serves Barrie, Orillia, Innisfil, Collingwood, Midland, Alliston, Newmarket and Muskoka, along with surrounding communities. Send the exact address to confirm coverage and availability, particularly for rural or more remote properties.
Coverage also includes the Blue Mountains and surrounding Simcoe County communities. Innisfil, Orillia and Collingwood listings are welcome, including bookings from Toronto/GTA Realtors. Availability and travel are confirmed for each property.
You do not necessarily need to attend. Chris can work independently when the appropriate access permissions and instructions have been arranged. Your brokerage should confirm the seller’s express written consent for unaccompanied access, including who may enter and when. Do not assume that having a lockbox code is sufficient permission.
Lockbox, homeowner or agent access can be arranged. Provide access instructions privately before the appointment and keep all required areas accessible.
Include the address, property type and approximate size, preferred appointment date, intended listing date, package and any important features. Mention occupied units, pets, outbuildings, parking or building restrictions. Agree on access instructions directly with Chris rather than placing security codes in public messages. Call or text (705) 984-2556 or email chris@digeratimedia.ca.
Texting is preferred: 705-984-2556. Include the agent’s name, email, billing information, property address and two preferred appointment dates. Chris will confirm the appointment directly.
Get in touch as soon as the property’s preparation and launch dates are known. Give Chris your actual delivery deadline, including whether you need photos, floor plans or video first. Short-notice availability and rush delivery must be confirmed; a booking enquiry is not a confirmed appointment.
The best fit depends on your listing, the media you need and how you prefer to work. Compare complete property galleries, consistent editing, communication, delivery times and clear package details. Digerati Media offers Barrie-based photography, video, drone coverage where permitted and floor plans; review the portfolio to decide whether the style suits your listings.
Read recent reviews on each photographer’s current Google Business Profile, looking for specific comments about reliability, image quality and communication. Review totals and ratings change, so check the original listings rather than relying on an old screenshot or an unsupported “highest-rated” claim.
Ask to see full shoots rather than only highlight images. Confirm the services, delivery deadline, access arrangements and total cost before booking. A photographer familiar with the area can also help plan travel and exterior coverage. Digerati Media is based in Barrie and works with Realtors across Simcoe County.
Look for consistent full-property work, realistic colours, straight architectural lines, clear communication and dependable delivery. Check what the package includes, how the property should be prepared and whether video, floor plans or drone coverage meet the listing’s needs. Confirm usage rights and any additional charges before booking.

Ask for the total for your exact address and chosen services before confirming. Identify any travel, parking, access or additional coverage requirements, and confirm how taxes are shown on the quote. A starting package price should not be treated as a quote for every property or location.
The first 20 minutes each way from Barrie are included; additional round-trip travel is $25 per hour. Package prices are plus HST. Confirm the total before booking.
Digerati Media’s standard turnaround is 24 hours. Confirm the delivery schedule when booking, especially for larger homes, additional editing or video-heavy projects. Share your launch deadline so the required files and timing can be agreed before the shoot.
Same-day delivery is a $100 add-on when arranged and confirmed with Chris.
Coverage and appointment length depend on the property and the services selected. Tell Chris about extra rooms, finished basements, separate buildings, waterfront features or amenities that need coverage. Confirm the expected image set and appointment window before arranging access or scheduling your seller’s day.
A standard home typically receives 35–45 photos. A standard-home appointment usually takes 30–45 minutes, with larger homes around an hour; scope and timing vary.
Media is delivered digitally, with links to the available property files and tours. An invoice accompanies delivery, and payment is requested within 24 hours of receiving the files; e-transfer is accepted. Download and check your files promptly, and ask Chris about any required export or delivery detail before your listing goes live.
Photos are delivered as high-quality JPEGs through WeTransfer. Links remain available for 30 days: download and save your own copies promptly. Backups may be available for up to six months but are not guaranteed.
Prices vary by property, location and the services included. Digerati Media’s Essentials package starts at $279 plus HST. Premier is $429 plus HST and Platinum is $649 plus HST. Check the package details and confirm the total for your property, including any travel or selected extras, before booking.
Digerati Media combines interior and exterior photos, drone photography where permitted, 2D floor plans and interactive 2D photo-tour functionality in its starting package. Every real estate package also includes one complimentary virtual twilight image and the detailed Home Report PDF at no extra charge. Drone coverage remains subject to safe conditions and location restrictions. Compare included deliverables, not just the headline price, when choosing a package.
Professional photography helps present the property clearly and consistently across listing materials. A well-planned set of photos, supported by floor plans or video where useful, gives buyers more information before a showing. It is a marketing investment, not a guarantee of a particular sale price, number of enquiries or time on market.
Tell Chris what the listing needs so the scope can be confirmed before booking. Available extras include virtual staging, additional virtual twilight images and clutter/debris removal at $5 per image, plus same-day delivery at an additional $100 when arranged. A seasonal exterior-only shoot is $125, with applicable travel charges confirmed separately.
Start by choosing the media needed to explain the property, then confirm the coverage and total with Chris. Digerati Media’s Platinum package is $649 plus HST and includes photography, drone where permitted, floor plans, cinematic video with voiceover and a vertical reel. Every real estate package includes one complimentary virtual twilight image and the detailed Home Report PDF at no extra charge. Do not assume every large home or cottage has identical coverage or travel requirements.
Finish cleaning and staging before the appointment. Clear counters and floors, make beds, put personal paperwork and valuables away, tidy outdoor spaces, and move vehicles and bins out of key exterior views. Make included rooms and outbuildings accessible. Let Chris know about anything that cannot be moved or photographed.
Turn lights on and fans off; move vehicles off the driveway and away from the front. Keep closets and unfinished basements accessible for scanning, and follow the full Realtor Resources checklist.
Discuss occupancy and pets before the appointment. Keep photographed areas clear and arrange for pets to be safely contained away from the work area. If someone needs to remain at home, plan the room sequence and any privacy restrictions with Chris so the session can run smoothly.
Chris prefers occupants out of the photographed areas. If they remain home, they can start in the basement and move upstairs when directed.
Flag tenant occupancy when booking and have the agent or property manager arrange the required notice, permissions and access. For condos, check concierge procedures, parking, elevators and permission to photograph shared amenities. Photography and publication permissions should be addressed separately from the ability to enter a property.
Contact Chris as soon as the date, access or property readiness changes. There is no cancellation or rescheduling fee. If an additional visit or new coverage is needed, agree on its scope, timing and any charge before proceeding.
The Realtor is responsible for ensuring the property is clean, staged and photo-ready before Chris arrives. Chris photographs the home as presented and may move small items, but does not provide cleaning or staging during the appointment. Complete preparation in advance so the booked time can be spent creating the media.
Unfinished basements and closets are not normally photographed unless requested; Chris may take one or two unfinished-basement reference photos. This is different from floor-plan scanning: all accessible interior areas, including unfinished basements and closets, are scanned for their measurements and layout. Keep these areas accessible even when you do not need photos of them.
No. Drone coverage depends on the address, airspace, required permissions, weather and safe operating conditions. Send the exact location in advance, including any nearby airport, heliport or unusual site constraints. A package that includes drone photography does not guarantee a flight at every property.
Interior photography, exterior views and drone flights may be affected differently. Contact Chris to review the conditions and the coverage that can be completed safely. If a change or separate exterior visit is needed, agree on the timing and any charges before proceeding.
For Barrie properties or those approximately 20 minutes away, interior photography may be able to proceed with exterior coverage arranged separately. For shoots more than half an hour away, rescheduling to nicer weather is preferred. There is no cancellation or rescheduling fee.
Send a short list of the property’s key features, such as water views, docks, outdoor living areas and separate buildings. Explain seasonal-road, gate, shoreline or boat-access constraints in advance. Confirm which locations are included and accessible; a nearby beach, dock or amenity should not be presented as belonging to the property unless that is accurate.
Aerial photography can help explain a property’s setting and surroundings. If you want boundary graphics or amenity labels, discuss them in advance and supply reliable information for review. Aerial photographs and illustrative boundary lines are not a land survey or confirmation of ownership, access rights or lot dimensions.
Virtual twilight is an edited evening-style presentation of an existing exterior photograph. It is different from a shoot captured at dusk. Every real estate package includes one complimentary virtual twilight image and a detailed Home Report PDF at no extra charge. For additional virtual twilight imagery, discuss the look and intended use with Chris, while keeping the property’s actual features accurately represented.
Choose someone whose portfolio demonstrates the features your property needs to show: interior finishes, outdoor living spaces, waterfront setting and property layout. Digerati Media photographs luxury and waterfront properties and offers photography, cinematic video, floor plans and drone coverage where permitted. Review actual examples and discuss the features that matter most.
Requirements depend on the drone and the operation. Transport Canada generally requires a pilot certificate for drones with an operating weight of 250 g up to and including 150 kg. Microdrones under 250 g do not require a pilot certificate, but safety rules still apply. Ask your photographer to explain the requirements and permissions for the planned flight.
Digerati Media offers 2D floor plans with and without dimensions, a PDF for listing use, and an interactive 2D photo tour. Confirm the specific files and tour link included with your package. An interactive 2D tour is not the same product as a navigable 3D scan.
Every real estate package includes a free detailed Home Report PDF with property information, room measurements, floor layouts and area calculations. Measurements are approximate.
A 3D floor plan is a three-dimensional representation of the layout; it is not automatically a navigable walk-through tour.
Confirm the measurement method, included areas and units with Chris before entering dimensions or square footage into your listing system. Check your brokerage and board requirements, particularly for basements and separate structures. Do not assume a marketing floor plan is a survey, architectural drawing or independently certified measurement report.
Measurements are approximate. All accessible interior areas, including closets and unfinished basements, are scanned; keep access clear and tell Chris about inaccessible areas.
Digerati Media supplies professionally edited, MLS-ready listing photographs. Tell Chris which listing system and other channels you use, including print or social media, so the required exports can be confirmed. Your agent or brokerage should check the current upload and advertising requirements before publication.
High-quality JPEGs are the standard photo delivery format.
Discuss the versions you need before production. Supply your approved logo and contact details for any branded work, and identify where an unbranded file or link is required. Confirm which versions are included in your quote rather than assuming that every format comes with every package.
A cinematic property tour gives viewers a more complete walkthrough, usually in a widescreen format. A vertical reel is a shorter, portrait-format presentation suited to mobile social feeds. Premier includes a cinematic tour; Platinum adds a voiceover tour and vertical reel. Agree on the features, messaging and delivery formats before filming.
Yes. All accessible interior areas, including unfinished basements and closets, are scanned even when they are not being photographed. Keep doors unlocked and safe access clear, and tell Chris about inaccessible areas before the appointment. Measurements are approximate. Garages are not included in standard 2D floor-plan scanning.
Yes. Digerati Media offers professional photo editing, virtual staging and virtual twilight services. Discuss the requested changes and how the images will be used. Keep an unstaged reference and identify digitally staged imagery appropriately for your listing platform; editing should not misrepresent room dimensions, permanent features, condition or views.
Virtual staging, additional virtual twilight images and clutter/debris removal are $5 per image. Confirm the requested scope with Chris before editing.
Confirm the permitted uses with Chris before reusing or sharing files for a different purpose. Paying for a shoot should not be assumed to transfer copyright or grant unlimited rights to another agent, business or future listing. Advertising consent and the media licence are separate matters; check both before republishing.
After full payment, clients receive broad, non-exclusive marketing-use rights, including MLS, REALTOR.ca and social media. Digerati Media retains copyright and the right to showcase the work.
Before the shoot, identify rooms, documents, family photos and other items that should stay out of the media. Remove sensitive items where possible and communicate any restrictions to Chris. The agent should arrange the required permissions for photography and marketing, including the intended use of the finished media.
Contact Chris with the property address, file name and the specific issue or required format. Reasonable minor corrections are free. Extensive changes may involve a fee discussed in advance. Explain your listing deadline and agree on timing; a new visit or additional version should be agreed separately rather than assumed to be included.
Digerati Media also offers Airbnb and vacation-rental photography, plus custom photography and video for builders, contractors, landscapers and designers. Tell Chris whether the images are for a property listing, rental advertisement, company portfolio or another use so the project scope and usage can be confirmed.
A consistent portfolio helps you show prospective sellers how you plan to present their home. Use real examples of photos, floor plans and video to explain your marketing approach and the package you recommend. Strong presentation can support a listing conversation, but it does not guarantee that a seller will choose you or that a property will sell faster.
Tell Chris the address, preferred shoot date and media you need. Confirm availability, scope, travel fees and delivery timing before booking.
