A 2D floor plan is an overhead drawing showing a property’s rooms, walls, doorways, and how spaces connect. For Barrie and Simcoe County real estate listings, it helps buyers understand the layout before booking a showing. Digerati Media provides both dimensioned and clean versions with every real estate photography package.
How LiDAR-Based Scanning Helps
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) uses light to estimate distances and map interior spaces. We scan accessible areas—including closets and unfinished basements—to help document the complete layout. Floor plan measurements are approximate, not a legal survey or certified appraisal.

Understand the complete layout of a property at a glance. Each real estate photography package includes clear floor plan drawings in two versions — with room dimensions and without — plus a PDF for listing use. We scan accessible interior areas, including unfinished basement spaces, to document the layout. Area totals may classify finished and unfinished spaces differently. Measurements are estimates and should be independently verified where precise dimensions are important.

Home Reports — Included With Every Real Estate Photography Package
Every real estate photography package includes a downloadable Home Report with floor-by-floor layouts, room measurements, area calculations, and a property summary. The report identifies areas included or excluded from its calculated totals. Reports are provided within 24 hours alongside your photographs and floor plans.

What is included with every real estate photography package?
2D floor plans with and without dimensions, an interactive floor plan tour, one complimentary virtual twilight image, and a detailed Home Report PDF — all included at no extra charge.
How are floor plans measured?
We use LiDAR-based property scanning technology. Measurements are estimates and should be independently verified when exact dimensions are required.
Are unfinished basements shown?
Yes. We scan accessible interior areas needed for the layout, including unfinished basements and closets. Area calculations may exclude some spaces from the reported living-area total. Unfinished areas and closets are not normally photographed unless requested.
How quickly will I receive everything?
Our standard turnaround is 24 hours after the photography appointment.
Can I share the interactive tour on MLS?
We provide a shareable tour link. Placement depends on the MLS system and its rules; check the appropriate virtual-tour field with your board.
What areas should be accessible for floor plan scanning?
Please make all interior areas accessible, including closets, storage and utility rooms, and unfinished basements. Digerati Media scans these spaces to document the layout, but garages are excluded from the standard scan. Closets and unfinished areas are not normally photographed unless requested.
