Effective date: October 22, 2026
Digerati Media provides real estate photography and related media services in Barrie and Simcoe County, Ontario. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us or arrange a service.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to answer inquiries, arrange shoots and deliver orders. This can include your name, business or brokerage details, email, phone number, billing name and address; the property address and approximate size; requested services and dates; and private access arrangements and job instructions.
We also hold booking messages, invoices and the photographs, video, floor plans and other property media produced for your order. A home and its contents can reveal personal information about occupants even when no person appears in a photograph.
Information usually comes from you or the person arranging the work. Please share another person’s information only with appropriate authority and avoid sending details that are not needed for the job. Bookings are arranged directly by text, phone or email; a website customer account is not required.
How we use information
We use information to answer questions, prepare quotes, confirm appointments, arrange access, complete the requested work, manage billing, deliver media and provide follow-up support. We also retain records needed for legal obligations and service questions or disputes.
Consent requirements depend on the purpose and sensitivity of the information. Making a booking or reading this policy does not, by itself, subscribe you to promotional emails or texts.
Property images and privacy
Before a shoot, tell us about privacy concerns and areas that should not be photographed. Remove or cover personal documents, family photographs and other identifying items you do not want included. Where other people live at or use the property, arrange the necessary permissions before the appointment.
We use portfolio photos only with client or property owner permission. Copyright ownership does not replace privacy consent, including any consent required for another person’s identifying information. Contact Chris if you have a concern about an image we hold or display.
Booking payment and storage
Bookings are recorded in a paper calendar or Google Calendar. We use Google Workspace for email. Payments are by e-transfer; Digerati Media does not hold credit-card numbers. Invoices containing client or business names and addresses are stored on a password-protected PC.
Property media is stored on a local hard drive and delivered through WeTransfer.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers for website hosting, communication, scheduling, media delivery, and processing property photographs and floor-plan information. These include GoDaddy, Google Workspace, Google Calendar, WeTransfer, CubiCasa and OpenAI. We share information needed for these services. Finished media is delivered to the client or other authorized recipients.
Only real estate photographs are submitted to ChatGPT. We do not upload client invoices, private messages, lockbox codes or access details to ChatGPT. Photographs may contain personal information, so please remove or cover identifying items before a shoot and tell us about privacy concerns.
Using these services involves sharing the information needed for their functions, such as email and appointment details, delivery files, floor-plan inputs or editing photos. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by applicable law.
Providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access by courts or public authorities. Contact us with questions about our providers. Their own privacy notices apply when you use their services directly.
Website data and third party content
Our website uses GoDaddy hosting, signals and traffic scripts. It displays YouTube videos and Google reviews through Reviews Embedder, including Google-hosted reviewer images. The website’s YouTube videos use locally hosted thumbnails and are configured to load a privacy-enhanced YouTube player when you select Play. Loading external content connects your browser to its provider; the provider receives connection information such as your IP address and may collect browser, device and interaction information or use cookies and similar technologies.
The Resources interest-rate chart is configured to request data directly from the Bank of Canada. Floor Plans links to a VisitHome tour; following that link opens a separate service. WordPress also uses browser storage for emoji-support detection. Browser controls can restrict cookies or storage, but may affect features and do not prevent every external connection.
For details of Google and YouTube practices, see policies.google.com/privacy. GoDaddy’s notice is at godaddy.com/en-ca/legal/agreements/privacy-policy. External services have their own privacy notices; their settings and practices are not controlled by this policy.
How long information is kept
WeTransfer delivery links are available for 30 days. Please download your files during that period and keep your own copies. Local photo backups may be retained for up to six months, but availability is not guaranteed. These arrangements do not set retention periods for invoices, booking messages, access instructions or separately authorized portfolio media. Link expiry does not necessarily mean all copies held by a provider have been deleted; its retention settings and policy also apply.
Protecting information
Invoices are kept on a password-protected PC, and property media is stored on a local hard drive. No electronic communication or storage method is completely secure. Do not send payment-card details, identification documents or unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email or text.
Access corrections and choices
You may ask about information we hold about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity. Applicable privacy law provides access and correction rights, subject to exceptions; PIPEDA generally requires a response to an access request within 30 calendar days, with limited lawful extensions.
You may withdraw consent for a particular use, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide the requested service. Deletion requests do not necessarily require removal of records that must be retained by law.

Policy changes
An updated policy may be posted when practices change. Posting a new version does not replace any consent required by applicable law.
